Playa Del Rey - Ghost Town - wideimaging
Playa Del Rey, Labor Day 1967. By 1971 These homes and over 800 others were leveled by eminent domain for the expansion of Los Angeles International Airport's flight path. The area is now off limits and fenced in like a modern day ghost town, with streets, sidewalks and many traces of it's past still there. They form the basis for the following photos taken in October 2000.
