The images in this gallery capture Flushing from the 1950's to the present. Many photos were taken from the same location over this span of time, they show both enduring landmarks and dramatic change. Since constructing this site over 2 years ago I have been continuing to get a great response for pictures from my old home town, now averaging about 20,000 views a month. I will be completing an expanded version of

wideimaging > Under the Flushing Bay draw bridge, April 1975. Although the bridge has been replaced and sewage no longer flows into the Bay, it remains the most blighted area of Flushing. I took it as a challange to try and take some interesting shots that would look "good".
